When in Hilton Head, Do as the Irish Do

The luck of the Irish got another beautiful day down south. I didn't think that I was going to be able to pull the boys from our home away from home.

We met up with the entire crew for brunch at Ahma & Granddaddy's favorite spot, The Cottage.

Only appropriate on a day that you embrace the color green even if you are not Irish.
Green Eggs & Ham for Brunch. The avocado was the green mixed in. Delish!

It wouldn't be a proper St. Patrick's Day without corned beef & cabbage, shepherd's pie, and thank goodness for irish soda bread and irish cream chocolate pudding otherwise the boys would have gone hungry!! However, no complaints for getting to wear green shamrock beads at the dinner table.

Just a sittin' on the dock of the bay...thinking about our next trip down to HHI and our family.

As we arrived home, I asked the boys to reflect on the past few days. I asked two questions, what their most favorite part of the trip was followed by worst part.
Tripp's was playing basketball with Uncle Piggy was his favorite and going to school with long pants and long sleeve was his worst.
Baxter's was the icing at Ellie's party and not being able to wear shorts on the beach was his worst.

My favorite thing was being with family and the distance and time till we see each other again is the worst. Oh, and the fact that we left 82 degree weather and came home to snow.
