Office Decor
One of my favorite things as a child was visiting my father at work. He would take me all over the building, downstairs to visit Aunt Shelby, and then we would share a Nehi grape soda and a box of Good n' Plenty's from the snack room. Afterwards we would go back up to his office and he would give me a stack of graphing paper and I would pick one of the hundred Pentel pencils that he used and I would draw him a picture that would be displayed somewhere within the million pictures of Bryan, my mom, and I.
In my professional career the only office that I have had has been one on wheels. My office at home proudly displays my diploma and some of my favorite buildings that represent James Madison University on the walls. The built-ins are the home of many pictures of the boys over the last six years, but they are lacking in art work produced by GPP III or BBP.
This morning that changed. Instead of eating his breakfast, Tripp sketched this drawing in which I asked him what he wanted to name it, and he quickly answered, "Easter Sunday."
Easter Sunday is the first and only (thus far) that is my constant reminder of the blessings that are in school while I'm away from them in my mobile office.
