It's a BEAUTIFUL Day at the Homestead

When you call the Homestead, the first thing you hear is, "It's a beautiful day at the Homestead." After arriving on Saturday morning, I put my recommendation into the resort that they need to change it to, "It's a gorgeous day at the Homestead." The word beautiful is too mediocre to describe the feeling you get as you drive into the resort.

The boys got some cousin time in at Mom-Mom's house, so what's a momma to do but spend a weekend skiing sandwiched in between two beach destination weekends. Hey, it is called March Madness for more than one reason.

53 degrees by noon. Yes, Please, and Thank You!

Escape...that's just what I did.

It wasn't at the same level as Vail, but Aunt Heidi and Brendan, I promise one day we will get out and see you guys! It was much easier to get to you before you traded your condo at Wintergreen in for the real deal in Vail. However, I need to get reacquainted with the Virginia slopes before attempting to hang with my "baby" cousin who I can't wait to see racing in person instead of pictures.

Sunset

Coffee shop on the corner awaiting an extra hot latte after a brisk run.

I am beginning to think that I have a personal DJ for Pandora who must be hanging out in the iCloud knowing where I am, what kind of mood I'm in, and exactly what song to play. As I drove towards Mount Crawford to scoop the boys from Mom-Mom, this song came on. Sunroof open, windows down, "Country road, take me home to the place I belong."
