Flying Pig
As we prepare for our trip south to Hilton Head to see the one and only Ellie Caroline have a cake smashing session as she turns the big 1, I thought I would share one more pic from my trip to the west coast. While walking down Abbot Kinney I came upon Kid Firefly which is a contemporary, swank children's boutique. I, well my wallet, had to hold myself back from purchasing unique things for Ellie and the boys. It reminded me of my dream about six years ago of opening my own triad boutique and the one of a kind gifts and apparel that the store would adorn. As my fiscal conscious told me to step away from the adorable hat, I stepped out on the sidewalk to see this well-timed truck parked outside the boutique. Immediately I had to send the pic to "Uncle Piggy" who got a kick out of it. Bryan and I have been calling each other piggy for years. In fact, while I was in Cali, as I was sending pics of pink trucks with pigs on them, he was sending me pictures of Mr. Pig from the Piggly Wiggly. In college, he would even send me stuffed pigs and just a few years ago he scored me a Pink Floyd t-shirt with a pink velvet pig on the front. Come on, they are pink and adorable, what's not to love?! Well, the name has stuck and the boys actually call Bryan, Uncle Piggy. As I look at the truck, I dream up putting a Go-Go Gadget Helicopter on the top and the McIlwee crew piling in to take off on an adverturous one year birthday celebration!!
While I was waiting for my flight back home, I browsed what was left of the retail shopping in LA. I saw the title and it was mine. Actually, Bax's, but how could I pass this book up?
