Reunited and It Feels So Good!
Ahhhh, the feeling of being home. No, I'm not talking about the feeling of being in a significantly cooler climate and being greeted at the door with boxes of reality and the severe weather warning of 8-12" of snow tomorrow. I'm talking about the feeling of walking on my tiptoes throughout the school to find the boys and I opened the door slowly and you could hear screams louder than the overcome system. That is the feeling of being "Home." Partner that with stopping at Wegman's on the way home and scoring some tasty treats and "projects" in the event that we do get snowed in tomorrow (and the next, and the next day after that)!
Baxter was not as excited as I was that I snagged two beanie frogs from the convention that were dressed as a pharmacist. His first comment was, "Is that all you got us?"
And yes, Nancy, I know we ran into you at dinner, but I assured you that I was representing Woodstock's finest pharmacy, Walton & Smoot...all while wearing Novo Nordisk of course!
Pop (Granddaddy), I can only imagine how you feel looking at this picture and I am sure you will be in your office after reading this post looking through photo albums of Bryan and I when you would come home from one of your business trips and we would be anxiously waiting at the door, not necessarily for you to arrive home, but for one of these similar mesh tradeshow bags hosting more pens, highlighters, sticky pads, mints, first-aid kits, band-aids, you name it, we got it. Now thirty plus years later I can now pay that feeling of pure excitement forward to my little guys. I can even hear at this very minute the Wal-Mart beach ball bouncing and bouncing and bouncing, did I tell you that it's bouncing? Ahhhh, the feeling and the sound of being home! Home Sweet Belly Laughing, Ball Bouncing, Little Boy Loving Home!
