What a great day to turn ONE!!

I will never forget the morning Bryan called me to let me know "She's here." Instant tears filled my eyes as I heard my brother say, "The doctor is doing his exam, but she looks damn near perfect to me."

It was a long six weeks from the time that Ellie made her debut until the new family of three made the haul from Hilton Head to Keswick for Matt & Yesi's wedding. As I stood in the field, I watched the Jeep pull up and it took everything in me to hold myself back. She was and is perfect! I suppose God gave me two little boys for a very particular reason. To teach me patience, let go of my need for constant organization, and to live life with a constant film of dirt! However, he did give me a niece that I can spoil rotten with tu tus, bows and ribbons, and dresses galore!

Sweet Ellie, we will see you in two short days to have a memorable 1st year celebration!
