Update
I received multiple texts, e-mails, calls asking, "Soooooo, how's it going?" "How are the boys doing?" "How are you doing?" I guess I'm not good at cutting off all communication from the world wide web, so here is a quick update.
The Paynters plus are doing great. Everyone is thriving and enjoying summer vacation.
The boys are currently in Orlando, Florida with Daddy and Lindsey taking in everything that a four and six year old should, could, and want to do. They have been so descriptive on our phone calls telling me anything and everything they can. Melts my heart. Last night they called early and I missed their phone call. Normally I would be upset that I missed the call, but it was perfect to hear and to be able to replay their sweet voices over and over about their first time at Disney World! Here is how it played out...
“Mommy, we went to Disney World today. We saw Mickey, and saw Donald and Donald was flying through the window. And Donald came THROOOOOOUGH. THE. CEEEEEILING. All the way through the other side. . And we kept on touching Donald. And we got wet.....(some shuffling, some things I couldn't understand)
Greg: "Anyting else boys?"
I love you mommy! I love you. Bye Mommy, I love you."
Greg then proceeded to let me know that they called early because there was no guarantee they would be awake within the next 30 minutes. It was 6:30! Luckily I was able to catch them within the half an hour before they crashed hard!
I think I have played the message twenty times since yesterday evening. Priceless.

Representing Towson Women's Soccer and the O's in Florida!
Week number one the only thing I did was consume myself with more work and more miles on the legs to keep my mind off of two empty little beds. It caught up with me on day #4 where I actually had an early morning appt with a doc and I slept in. Yes, my internal alarm clock failed on me and I woke up at 6:43 in panic mode. Thank goodness for summer dresses and low maintenance pony tails, I made the appointment, but I have now learned to set an alarm. That is a good thing! I am learning.
Sunday morning I caught up with the group during a marathon brunch at the cafe until the sky opened up and we all dashed to our cars. Mornings like that are the ones that warm my soul. On the agenda this weekend is to pack a small bag and discover a new town. Only a few days will tell where that may be.
I hope you all are staying somewhat cool, dry, and whatever else this crazy weather will throw our way.
Till next time...
