"Mommy, Take me Away!"
Today the boys and I went away for a much needed overnight getaway. When planning our getaway, I didn't think to check the schedule of the all the many college students heading north to their homes for Fall break, so the three hour trip took close to four and a half. So hotel check in was a must and a first to let their little bodies exhaust some much built up energy in the pool. After five minutes in the hotel, I realized how few times they've actually been in hotel rooms. The boys had me rolling as they were opening up every door and drawer, looking around everything, taking in how the rest of the world lives away from home. Here are some of the many quotes that made this momma smile.
"Look, there's a surfboard in the closet."
"Mommy, there is a coffee maker in our bedroom. You can have coffee in your bed." Yes I can and yes I will!
"There are two phones, two beds, and two bibles. Ooooh. Myyyyy. Gooooodness."
"Really? There really is a pool inside?"
"I want to push the button." "NO! I want to push the button." "NOOOO! I want to. Mommy...." Yep, sibling rivalry even happens on vacation."
