9 Month Stats

Baxter had his 9 month appointment this afternoon which everyone except for Stuey attended. Tripp was quite the good big brother holding the band-aid for Dr. Lake while he administered the Hepatitis B vaccine. Baxter was his typical chatty self for the doctor. He weighed in at 20 pounds 3 ounces and is 28 inches long. Of course there is a comparison, Tripp weighed in at exactly 18 pounds at 9 months and was 28.75 inches long. Dr. Lake said that Baxter was a long and lean eating machine. Still in the 50th percentile for weight and 80th for height. And that noggin, still in the 75th! He's going to be so smart!!! Baxter is starting to stand a bit on his own. He cruises EVERYWHERE, but is not in any hurry to walk, which we are okay with. As most of you know, Tripp was walking by 9 months and 9 days and Greg and I are enjoying the fact that Baxter is not roaming around just quite yet. What's he eating these days? Or should I say what is he not eating these days? With only four teeth, there is not a thing that does not go in his mouth. He eats a whole hotdog at a sitting. Turns his nose already to baby food. Doesn't want to see a jar in front of him. Tonight he had eggplant parm. But we love it because he enjoys to sit and eat, whereas our precious 2-year old hardly eats a thing. He's in the process of weaning himself. Too busy exploring his world than to spend time with mommy! ha!! He wants to drink from a sippy cup, but just hasn't grasped the concept yet. Likes to play with the cup, and drop the cup, and drop the cup, and drop the cup again to see how many times mommy & daddy will pick it up before he can drop the cup again!!! He is still the most laid back kid I've ever been around. He's starting to show us his love for dancing like his brother. He can now go to his radio in his room and turn the volume up and we find him bouncing his knees to the music. Very, very cute. His biggest entertainment is definitely Tripp. I think back to Tripp at this age, and Tripp loved Stuey. Love everything about Stuey, but Baxter could care less about him because Tripp is such a hoot to watch. It is so hard to believe that in just 3 short months our baby boy will be 1. Let the birthday plans begin!!!!!
